Kassidy
Blues Rock / Scotland
The business of predicting trends in music in a precarious one but Kassidy, the latest act confirmed for the sold out Wednesday night at Caribana, look to have all the ingredients for success. Operating somewhat under the radar, even in their native Scotland, Kassidy’s blend of killer melodies, lush harmonies and layered guitar belies their bearded, long-haired rock hillbilly look. Their Rubbergun EP served notice that Kassidy offer singalong sounds and enticing hooks. They have been compared to Kings of Leon and their sound has been described akin to Crosby, Stills and Nash but dirtier. As New Music Month declared “catch them now whilst you can see them up close in an intimate venue for those days won't last long”.
