Deep Purple

Rock / United Kingdom
The British rockers, now composed of singer Ian Gillan, Steve Morse (guitarist), Roger Glover  (bass), Don Airey (keyboards) and Ian Paice (drummer and the remaining original member), were pioneers of the heavy rock scene when they formed in 1968 and are famed especially for the live performances.

Despite being once proclaimed as their world's loudest band by the Guinness Book of Records, Deep Purple have never been slaves to one genre and have spiced their classic sound with jazz, funk and even classical touches over four decades. With Gillan, Glover and Paice from their classic lineup complemented by Airey and Morse, Deep Purple are re-energised and their classic cuts sound better than ever live.

Naturally "Smoke on the Water" will be especially apposite "on the Lake Geneva shoreline" but, befitting a band which has sold 100 million records and released 18 studio albums, Deep Purple have much more to offer including hits Highway Star, Child in Time and Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming.
