Morcheeba with Skye return to Caribana

Reunited band play Grande Scène on Friday 10 June.

Caribana is delighted to announce that British trip-hop stars Morcheeba are to return to play the 21st edition of the festival.

The band played at the festival in 2005 and singer Skye Edwards returned for a solo show one later. She returned to the band last year and now the classic Morcheeba line up returns to Crans-sur-Celigny to headline the Grande Scène on Friday night.

The Godfrey brothers, Paul and Ross, formed Morcheeba with Skye after a chance meeting in 1995 and another chance meeting in 2009 prompted the brothers and the singer to get back together. “We always thought we’d work with Skye again,” says Ross. “When we made the first four records, we knew it was a magic formula.”

That magic formula has produced hits such as The Sea, Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day, Let Me See and Trigger Hippy and the new album Blood Like Lemonade.
