Award-winning Nozuka set for Caribana

NRJ award-winner brings his blend of soul, pop and blues to the festival's opening night.

Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Nozuka will play the Grand Scéne on Wednesday 8 June, the opening night of the 2011 Caribana festival.

Fresh from picking up an award at the prestigious NRJ Music Awards last weekend, the young master of acoustic soul will help kick off the 21st edition of the festival at Crans-sur-Nyon.

Nozuku’s duet picked up the accolade of Best Duo for his collaboration with Zahoo on Heartless, the most played-song on French airwaves in 2010. The original version of the song featured on his 2010 sophomore album You I Wind Land and Sea - "eleven impressive pieces of thoughtful acoustic-soul" according to the BBC.
