All animals (dogs, cats, rats, snakes, etc) have very sensitive ears. By respect for them as well as for safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to bring pets on the grounds of the festival.
Thank you for leaving them home and not in the car!
Currency
Only Swiss Francs (coins and notes) are accepted on the premises of the festival.
Change / Cash Points
Euro notes exclusively can be changed at the cash point situated outside the festival grounds on the Geneva side of the entrance. Only PostCard and EC/Maestro accepted for cash. Change is possible 15 minutes before the opening of the gates, and finishes at the end of the last concert.
Credit and debit cards
PostCard, EC/Maestro, Visa and Eurocard are accepted at the festival's ticket desk
Only Swiss Francs (CHF) are accepted on the venue of the festival.
You can however change Euros (only tickets accepted) at the exchange desk/ cash desk at the festivals entrance, outside the venue's main entrance towards Geneva.
The ticketing desk of the festival operates 15 minutes before the gates open to the public, and finishes at the end of the last concert.
We only accept Swiss Francs, Postcard, EC Maestro, Visa and MasterCard at the ticketing desk.
You can change Euros to Swiss Francs at the exchange desk.

The doors close one hour after the last concert.
A valid entry ticket is necessary at all time to enter the venue of the festival.
Sunday, no entry ticket is necessary, Caribakids being a free demonstration.
Important
It is strictly forbidden to enter the venue with drinks, drugs or all other prohibited substances, weapon (fire weapon, knife, etc.) or all other object considered as such, cameras, audio or video recorders. We take the right to prohibit all other object or substance. A systematic control will be made at the entrance of the festival.
Tents
Unfortunately, the festival does not have the infrastructure to allow you to camp. Moreover, it is forbidden to camp on Crans Commune's territory. We therefore offer the below alternatives:

Caravans and camping-cars
The caravans and the camping cars can be parked on Charlemont's (P5) parking or on Colovray's (P6) parking for a maximum period of 3 days. Colovray's parking owns draining location for chemical toilets.
All children over 8 years old must hold a valid pass. Those younger than 16 must be accompanied by their parents or an adult with parent’s authorization
Notice! It is clearly unadvised to bring small children at Caribana as their ears are fragile and can be damaged by the high noise level. Take care of them; they will be grateful in the future!!!
Carbiakids, the festival for the whole family and its children is a free venue on the Sunday following the festival. On the program, round- about, games and plenty of animations for children of all ages!
During the period of the festival, you will find an infirmary with health professionals (1 doctor, nurses and ambulance men) who will greet you if needed. Moreover, many sanitary patrols are constantly at your disposal on the venue. You will recognize them easily as they are dressed with yellow waistcoats.
Disabled persons are most welcome to the Caribana Festival: parking spots are arranged for handicapped persons at a few meters distance of the entrance and are available on request; special toilets are available near the "Bar des Musiciens", Geneva side of the venue; special locations are at disposal during the concerts in front of the main stage.
Moreover, if presenting an official justifying document, the person accompanying disabled visitor has a free access to the venue

The festival continually controls its noise pressure levels and commits to respect the limit of 100 dB (decibels) certified by qualified authorities.
Nevertheless, this noise pressure level can contribute to highly damage your hearing system. Ear plugs are distributed freely at the ticketing desks, the accreditation desk, the shop of the festival and by the security nearby the stages.

The security is made of approx 60 voluntaries permanently available on the venue. They are at your disposal for all information, indication and naturally for your security.
In order to preserve a festive atmosphere, it is strictly forbidden to enter on the venue with drinks, narcotics or all other prohibited substances, weapons (firearms, knifes, or all other objects considered as such), cameras, audio or video recorders. We will take the right to prohibit all other object or substance.
For your own security, a systematic control will be made at the entrance of the festival.
A large panel of food from various horizons is offered in the festivals booths (Swiss, Spanish, Asia, Italian, eastern, etc.)so that everyone finds something to eat at ones taste!
Since January 1st, 2005, the maximum authorised alcohol level to drive in Switzerland is 0.5 per thousand. This corresponds to about a single 3dl glass of beer for a 'normal' person.

All objects found on the venue are deposited at the information booth located in the middle of the festival.
The Monday following the festival, all objects that have not been claimed for are given to the police in Nyon (pl. du Château 10), phone. +41 (0)22 362 16 21
Toilets are located on the venue. A large multiple-unit bloc is located in the middle of the venue and a second one, smaller, on the Geneva side of the main stage for urgent needs during the concerts...
Wastewater is disposed of in the communal network linked to the public sewage treatment plant.
Maintenance of all WC is managed by a single person, please respect his work !
