Thanks to a strong commitment from the organisers as well as the partners, each year, Caribana Festival offers the younger crowds a free afternoon of entertainment and fun on the premises of the Festival. Concerts, shows, workshops, diverse activities, disco, you name it. The day ends with the traditional balloon release in front of the main stage.
Awakening to music - La Bulle d'Air - In front of the main stage
A yurt will welcome our young festival-goers for an awakening to music workshop. Kids will explore and discover instruments under the guidance of two instructors, both professional musiciens. This activity is provided by a non-profit organisation: La Bulle d'Air. www.labulledair.ch
"Caribabooks" The reading corner – Crans Library - La Plage
Crave for some moments of calm ? Feel like reading or hearing a story ? The volunteers of the local library will be on site to welcome young and less young for a few moments dedicated to the pleasure of books. www.sdcrans.ch/biblio
Terre des Hommes turns 50. To mark the anniversary, Terre des Hommes and Jean-Marc Richard will propose informations and events during Caribakids. The Vietnam Contest-Path will enable to discover the activities of the non-proft organisation in a playful and interactive way. One happy winner will win a trip to Vietnam ! www.tdh.ch
DJ Sancho's disco - Surf Bar
The Surf Bar will turn into a disco under the expert mixing of Caribana's excellent resident DJ, DJ Sancho. This year, the Caribakids has invited two rookies: DJ Jack and DJ Martia. Please note that the disco stops during concerts or shows on the Lake Stage.
Free Expression workshops - Main Stage
During the whole afternoon, Sandrine and her volunteers will host craftsmanship dedicated workshops. A must for young creators-to-be !
Makeup workshop - Delirium Bar
Emma and her team of super efficient and talented makeup artists will transform the faces of your kids into colorful designs !
